Just after midnight, a Baltimore City police response to a 911 call took a sharp turn on West Lombard Street, leaving one officer in the hospital with a leg injury and a round fired in the street.
The chaos kicked off around 12:45 a.m. near the intersection of West Lombard Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, where video from the scene later showed a heavy police presence and flashing lights stacking up along the corridor.
