Geno’s Steaks Opens in Baltimore, Sweepstakes Offers Free Cheesesteaks

Geno’s Steaks, the neon-lit South Philadelphia cheesesteak institution, is rolling into downtown Baltimore and kicking things off with a sweepstakes that could land one fan a free sandwich every week for a year. The new outpost will be inside Power Plant Live!, the Inner Harbor entertainment complex, and is expected to begin service in early March.

According to Power Plant Live, fans can “Enter For The Chance To WIN Geno’s Legendary Cheesesteaks For An Entire Year.” The venue’s page notes that the sweepstakes ends March 26, requires entrants to be 21 or older, and links to the official rules and an entry form.

When and where they’ll open

Geno’s has set March 5 as the Baltimore opening date and will operate inside Power Plant Live! near the Inner Harbor, with sit-in bar seating plus a walk-up window and kiosks for quick takeout. Geno Vento said, “Baltimore has a deep appreciation for great food and genuine hospitality, and I’m thrilled to be part of a place that celebrates both,” as reported by Patch.

The prize is structured as weekly vouchers: one cheesesteak per week for 52 weeks, with the winner chosen at random. The MoCo Show reports that entries opened last Thursday and that the contest runs through March 26, is open to eligible U.S. and D.C. residents age 21 and older, with some state exclusions.
