Suspect Charged With Attempted Murder After Family Dispute In Anne Arundel

GLEN BURNIE, Md. – On Feb. 24, 2026, at approximately 7 a.m., Northern District patrol officers responded to a shots fired call at a residence in the 1000 block of Nancy Road in Glen Burnie. Arriving officers learned that a male suspect fired multiple shots inside the home with family members present.

Prior to police arrival, two female occupants safely exited the home, and officers assisted a third family member in exiting the residence. It was determined that the male suspect was the sole remaining occupant inside the residence. Northern District detectives responded and the ensuing investigation revealed an argument between the suspect and a family member led to the suspect discharging a firearm.

Multiple specialized units, including the Quick Response Team (QRT), Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT), Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), and K9, were dispatched to the scene. The suspect ultimately exited the residence, and QRT officers provided medical aid. The suspect sustained a serious self-inflicted injury and was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries…
