Maryland Officer-Involved Shooting Leaves Man Dead After Self-Harm Call In Columbia: Police

Shortly after midnight, officers were called to conduct a welfare check at an apartment building in the 6400 block of Freetown Road in Columbia, where a man was allegedly threatening self-harm, according to the Howard County Police Department.
