Baltimore, MD Weather Alert: 1” Snow And 0.10” Ice On I-70 Through 9 AM Tuesday

Baltimore, Md. – A narrow band of snow will sweep across central Maryland late this morning into the afternoon, briefly coating roads along I-70 and I-83 before a glaze of ice develops overnight and lingers through 9 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Baltimore/Washington, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for areas northwest of Interstate 95, including Frederick, Carroll and Washington counties in Maryland and portions of northern Virginia and eastern West Virginia. Snow totals will generally remain under 1 inch, but higher elevations could see locally greater amounts. Tonight into Tuesday morning, freezing rain may produce up to 0.10 inches of ice in colder inland areas…
