BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Days after Baltimore City’s watchdog released a report outlining how millions of taxpayer dollars have been spent within the Mayor’s Office, the leader of the city is facing questions in person.
Mayor Brandon Scott defended the actions Monday, following questions about the latest report from the Office of the Inspector General. The report looked at spending from July 1, 2022 through Nov. 17, 2025, and found more than $800,000 of taxpayer money was spent on food and catering.
That amount includes more than $52,000 spent on box suites during Baltimore Ravens and Orioles games. Investigators also found more than $33,000 was spent on flowers for staff birthdays, bereavements, and baby announcements – including a mayoral baby shower…
