» Drug Trafficking Homicide Case Dismissed

The trial of Jason Williams, 37, a man previously charged with first-degree murder, assault and various firearm offenses, was dismissed the morning of March 2.

According to charging documents, surveillance footage connected the defendant to the Nov. 3 2024 fatal shooting of Solomon Wise, 58, on the 4300 block of Belair Road. Williams is also reportedly involved in a drug-trafficking ring called “4200” that sells fentanyl, heroin and cocaine.

The case was previously declared a mistrial after a jury failed to reach a unanimous decision. Williams represented himself for a short stint after firing defense attorney Jerry Rodriguez after strategic differences, with Williams claiming the latter omitted crucial evidence to his defense…
