Sharpshooters to start killing deer to reduce overpopulation in Baltimore City

(Baltimore, MD) — Beginning next week, USDA sharpshooters will start killing deer to reduce their population in Baltimore City.

The city says a high deer population can lead to an elevated risk of tick-borne diseases, increased spread of invasive plant species and more crashes involving deer and vehicles.
