Baltimore MTA Identifies 23-Year-Old Killed At Shot Tower

Train service in downtown Baltimore came to a sudden stop Tuesday afternoon after a man was struck and killed by an MTA subway train at Shot Tower station. Maryland Transit Administration officials have identified the victim as 23-year-old Jaheim Deandre Jackson. Baltimore City Fire and Rescue crews pulled Jackson from beneath a train and began life-saving treatment on the platform, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. MTA Police have opened an investigation, and service at the Shot Tower stop was suspended while crews worked the scene.
