4 hurt in explosion at Baltimore Coca-Cola bottling facility

WASHINGTON — Four people were treated for injuries after a reported explosion inside a Coca-Cola bottling facility in Baltimore, according to the city’s fire department.

The explosion involved equipment that handles carbon dioxide inside Coca-Cola’s only production center in Maryland. Firefighters responded at around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Among those hurt, one was rushed to the hospital in “critical condition,” according to firefighters. Another was taken to the hospital in “serious yet stable condition.” Two others were treated on scene and released after an evaluation…
