Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – Drivers across central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland could face dangerous evening travel Monday as a fast-moving line of severe thunderstorms pushes east with the potential for tornado warnings and damaging wind gusts.
According to the NOAA Storm Prediction Center, portions of central and eastern Pennsylvania along with much of Maryland fall within a Level 3 “Enhanced Risk” for severe storms Monday. The main threat is widespread damaging wind gusts capable of reaching 60 to 70 mph, strong enough to snap tree limbs and knock out power.
