MARYLAND (WBFF) — A controversial plan to expand Baltimore Gas and Electric power lines between Harford and Anne Arundel counties got approval to begin construction in the coming months.
The Maryland Public Service Commission ruled Thursday that BGE can proceed with its transmission line upgrades, estimated to cost $350 million. The move is part of the plan to retire Anne Arundel County’s Brandon Shores coal-fired power plant in 2028. The plant is located in Curtis Bay.
