West Baltimore Hit-And-Run Driver Bolts After Slamming Into Two Pedestrians

A late-morning hit-and-run on West North Avenue left two pedestrians in the hospital while the driver who allegedly hit them walked away from the wrecked vehicle and vanished into the neighborhood.

The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of West North Avenue in West Baltimore. Police said the driver, who was also hurt in the collision, abandoned the vehicle and took off on foot. Western District officers responded to the scene and began searching the surrounding area, and as of the latest update, the search remained active.

What police say

According to FOX45 News, Western District officers are handling the investigation. The two pedestrians were taken to local hospitals, but officials have not publicly released their conditions.

FOX45 News reports that the driver, despite being injured in the crash, fled on foot and had not been apprehended.
