LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — A chain of events involving an assault, a vehicle pursuit, and a crash with a marked patrol unit has culminated in the conviction and jail time of a Baltimore woman.
According to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office (SMCSO), Sabrina Brianna Thompson, 28, of Baltimore, was found guilty in connection with an incident that occurred on Jan. 19, 2025, in Lexington Park. Deputies were initially dispatched to a residence for the report of an assault in progress. Prior to arrival, dispatch advised that the suspect had fled the scene, providing a description of the vehicle involved.
According to police reports, deputies subsequently located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Authorities report that the driver failed to stop, initiating a brief pursuit. The vehicle returned to the original scene of the reported assault, where it allegedly stopped in the roadway before reversing into a marked patrol vehicle.
