HUNT VALLEY, MD—Four employees were injured Monday afternoon following a machinery malfunction and hazardous materials incident at the McCormick and Company facility in Hunt Valley, fire officials said.
The Baltimore County Fire Department responded to the plant at 11100 McCormick Road at approximately 1:35 p.m. on April 6th. Upon arrival, emergency crews discovered that a mechanical failure had resulted in injuries to several workers and required the intervention of a hazardous materials team.
According to department commanders, one employee sustained serious injuries and was flown by medevac to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment.
