Rosedale’s I-695 Exit 33 to I-95 named Maryland’s most stressful off-ramp

BALTIMORE, MD—The interchange connecting Interstate 695 to Interstate 95 has been ranked as the most stressful highway off-ramp in Maryland, according to a new survey conducted by personal injury law firm Regan Zambri Long.

The firm polled more than 3,000 drivers across the state to identify the exits that cause the most frustration and risky driving behavior. Respondents pointed to the I-695 Exit 33 connector in Baltimore as the top flashpoint, citing the intense pressure of merging at high speeds where two major interstate routes converge.

According to the survey, the Baltimore interchange creates significant stress due to the limited distance drivers have to adjust lanes and the tendency for stop-and-go traffic to develop well before the ramp is reached. These conditions often force drivers to brake earlier than expected, leading to a compressed flow of traffic that takes longer to clear than many commuters anticipate…
