PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — A welfare check on a man sitting for an unusually long time in a Prince Frederick Walmart parking lot led Maryland State Police to a loaded handgun, 9mm ammunition, suspected crack cocaine, heroin, oxycodone pills and drug packaging materials, according to charging documents.
Aleksandrs Koptevs, 31, of Owings Mills, was charged after the May 13, 2026, incident at the Walmart located at 150 Solomons Island Road North in Prince Frederick.
