LOUISIANA — Louisiana is poised to become the next state to join the growing Buc-ee’s footprint, with the company moving forward on plans for its first location in Ruston. As construction plans advance, the question is no longer whether Buc-ee’s is coming to Louisiana, but whether additional locations could eventually follow.
The Texas-based travel center chain has expanded rapidly across the South, Midwest and East Coast in recent years, targeting major interstate corridors, tourism markets and fast-growing regions. Louisiana’s location along key transportation routes and its strong tourism economy make it one of the states that could potentially support more than one Buc-ee’s location.
Ruston Becomes Louisiana’s First Buc-ee’s
Buc-ee’s has announced plans to build its first Louisiana location near Ruston along Interstate 20 in Lincoln Parish.
The proposed travel center is expected to follow the company’s familiar model, featuring dozens of fuel pumps, a large convenience store and extensive parking facilities.
