BATON ROUGE, La. (KLFY) – Floyd Brown, a longtime Louisiana swamp pop and country singer, died Tuesday at the age of 79.
According to family members, Brown passed away following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Brown, a native of Baker and a well-known figure in the Baton Rouge music scene, had a career that spanned several decades in Louisiana music. He became a recognizable name, recording several regional hits throughout his time as a performer.
