BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A man charged in connection with a deadly hit and run in Denham Springs appeared in court Tuesday morning for a motions hearing.
Brandon Chenevert, 31, faces a negligent homicide charge after Jody Mann, 20, died from her injuries. The crash occurred along Louisiana Highway 1023 in March 2025 while Mann was walking home from a friend’s house.
Attorneys are still in the process of discovery, and there is a motion to continue toward a trial.
