Southern University breaks ground on $50 million student housing project

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Southern University has begun construction on a $50 million student housing development that university leaders describe as transformative for the campus.

The new residence hall will add 500 beds in its first phase, with plans to eventually bring that number to 850.
