BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A new study has ranked Baton Rouge among the top cities where residents spend a high percentage of their income on clothes.
The WalletHub study compared the price of a men’s dress shirt, a pair of boys’ jeans, and a pair of women’s slacks in 100 of the country’s largest cities against each city’s median household income to determine where residents spend the most and least on clothes.
Baton Rouge was ranked 4th, with clothes costing 2.95% of the median monthly household income. The study found the average cost of clothes included in the study was $122.82.
