BATON ROUGE – Residents at Jaguar Plaza, an apartment building off Harding Boulevard, said Sunday night’s officer-involved shooting stemmed from a dispute between neighbors.
According to BRPD Chief TJ Morse, officers were called to the complex after reports that a man was threatening people with a rifle just before 6 p.m. on Sunday. Morse said the man also threatened officers, which led to officers firing shots.
“Officers were dispatched here to an apartment complex. He was threatening other people with a rifle, so officers came to address that situation. They came here; that individual was still armed. He threatened officers with that weapon. They had to take action to defend their lives,” Morse told WBRZ at the scene…
