On Sept. 11, 2011, five Louisianians were among the nearly 3,000 people killed in terrorist attacks that struck New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
U.S. Navy Lt. Michael Scott LaMana of Baton Rouge, Louis Calvin Williams III of Mandeville, Kevin Wayne Yokum of Lake Charles, retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Robert Joseph Hymel of New Orleans and Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Farmer of New Orleans were killed that day.
Three of the five died at the Pentagon. Two were killed at the World Trade Center…
