Prairieville Woman Arrested After Hitting Golf Cart With Two Kids in Brusly, Having SUV Towed Out of Parish

BRUSLY — A Prairieville woman has been arrested and charged with felony hit-and-run and obstruction of justice after she struck a golf cart carrying two 13-year-old girls in Brusly on Saturday, then had the vehicle towed out of the parish, the Brusly Police Department announced Sunday.

Adriel Nicole Smith, 38, was served with an arrest warrant after making a full confession to officers with the Brusly Police Department and the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, according to the department.

Smith faces one count of felony hit-and-run driving under Louisiana Revised Statutes 14:100 and one count of obstruction of justice under Louisiana Revised Statutes 14:130.1…
