Former East Baton Rouge corrections officer pleads guilty in inmate abuse case

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A former East Baton Rouge Parish corrections officer accused of abusing inmates has pleaded guilty to malfeasance in office, according to court records.

Elijah Christopher was previously indicted on one count of malfeasance in office and three counts of simple battery in connection with separate incidents involving inmates.
