When entrepreneur Mo Vij sold General Informatics in 2020 after building it into one of Baton Rouge’s biggest technology companies, he had a decision to make. Should he stay in town or start his next venture elsewhere?
Vij stayed. After being uprooted once when he moved from India and watching his kids grow up in Louisiana, he decided this was home and used the proceeds from the sale to fund the launch of a new public safety software-as-a-service company at the same Highland Road campus he had developed for the company he’d sold. It’s now become even larger.
365Labs, his new firm, now has 70 employees and up to $50 million in recurring revenue, 95% of which comes from out of state. And it counts more than 100 public safety agencies across 18 states among the clients paying for its records management, dispatch, case processing and 911 systems…
