Two Baton Rouge entrepreneurs win $20,000 at Curate Conference

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Two Baton Rouge entrepreneurs earned a combined $20,000 in funding Saturday at the 2026 Curate Conference in New Orleans, hosted by Curate for Women Who Work.

Alicia Williams, founder of Selah, won $15,000 through the Curate Women’s Pitch Competition for her hormone health app. Aisha Abbasova, founder of ABBASAID, an AI-powered seeing-eye cane for people with visual impairments, received $5,000 through the Student Pitch Competition.
