Baton Rouge school leaders have hired a branch of a major accounting firm to help them peer into the future.
Eisner Advisory Group has the task of developing a “comprehensive five-year financial forecast” for the East Baton Rouge Parish school system. The group is a sister company to Eisner Amper LLC, which has handled the district’s annual audit for years.
The forecast is a prelude to the development of a school construction plan to be presented to parish voters in 2028 when it is time to renew a 1-cent sales tax earmarked for education. The school district developed similar plans a decade ago prior to 2018 when that tax was last renewed…
