AG: 65-year-old Iberville Parish woman accused of Medicaid fraud arrested

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A 65-year-old Iberville Parish woman was arrested on a felony Medicaid fraud charge after allegedly billing Medicaid for services while she was out of town.

Attorney General Liz Murrill announced that Sharon Molden of White Castle, a direct service worker, was found to be out of state on multiple occasions while documenting services that she did not provide to patients.

On one occasion, Medicaid Fraud Control Unit agents were able to obtain time sheets and service logs for services purportedly provided by Molden.

Agents discovered that the woman had a public Facebook account. While reviewing the Facebook account, agents discovered her secondary employment with Primerica. Molden had several posts that indicated she was out of town or outside the state of Louisiana, which conflicted with the dates and times of the Medicaid services she documented as having provided…
