BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A woman is behind bars after a hit-and-run that killed a 35-year-old man in July, and his sister is speaking out about what she calls a low bond.
Travis Barconey loved fishing, grilling, and spending time with his family, according to his sister, Dana Barconey. He had two children, ages 5 and 9, and nine siblings.
“He was a protector. He was a great father. He was a great brother, great uncle, great child. He was our safety net,” Dana Barconey said.
How Barconey died
Barconey was killed in a hit-and-run on July 11. He was changing a flat tire on Scenic Highway when he was hit by a passing car and thrown several feet in the air. He was pronounced dead at the scene…
