BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Westlake Corporation is investigating an incident where an employee experienced a medical emergency on Saturday October 3 and later died.
Westlake Corporation told WAFB the employee was found unresponsive in the unit, and emergency response teams provided first aid around 7:44pm. The employee was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Westlake said it is conducting a thorough investigation and will cooperate with all appropriate authorities.
