BATON ROUGE — A meat market cashier is dead after he was shot in an armed robbery on Beechwood Dr. early Wednesday morning.
It was around 5:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7 in the 4800 block of Beechwood Dr. when Baton Rouge Police officers responded to reports of a shooting. At the scene, officers found multiple shell casings and the store’s cashier dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
So far, the investigation shows a man walked into the City Town Meat Market, formerly known as the Ragusa Meat Market, demanding money. The cashier did not turn over the money and instead, the gunman opened fire, possibly with a rifle, UWK has learned…
