BATON ROUGE — A 31-year-old woman accused of crashing into four pedestrians near a Plank Road night club in 2025 – killing one of them – has pleaded guilty to manslaughter and hit-and-run driving.
Family members of the woman who was killed say they do not support the plea deal prosecutors made in the crime.
Laderica Stewart, 22, was killed on March 30, 2025. Taquencya Harris, driving her blue Chevrolet Trailblazer, hit Stewart and three other people in the 2800 block of Plank Road. Stewart’s cousin was also hit and was critically injured, family members said. The other two injuries were less severe…
