Larry Salisbury was possibly already dead when police officers responded to a pair of welfare checks at the 92-year-old man’s Baton Rouge home, according to arrest records for his son, who has been jailed in the beating death.
Bruce Salisbury, 45, was arrested Tuesday night and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a count of first-degree murder.
About 6:30 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the home of Larry Salisbury where they found the man beaten to death with severe head trauma.
