A Baton Rouge man who pleaded guilty to chasing a man who owed him money and beating him to death in July 2022 was sentenced Monday to 27 years in prison. Desmond Demon Orange, 28, was scheduled to be tried this week on a second-degree murder indictment for unleashing the deadly attack on 60-year-old Albert Dean Gibson.
