Brian Kelly and the LSU football staff continue working to retool the secondary and bring in talent for the long haul.
On Friday, the Tigers lost a commitment from 2025 three-star cornerback Jaylen Bell, he announced on social media.
Bell, who’s been pledged to the Bayou Bengals since December of 2022, will reopen his recruitment and evaluate options elsewhere during his senior campaign.
With the addition of secondary coach Corey Raymond, LSU has hit the ground running on the recruiting trail, specifically in the 2025 class.
The Bayou Bengals hosted 2025 five-star safety DJ Pickett and 2024 five-star ATH Terry Bussey on Wednesday.
For Bussey, he’ll be a defensive back at the next level with Raymond wining and dining him during his visit.
The Texas A&M commit continues evaluating his options before he puts pen to paper on National Signing Day next week. Bussey remains the top target for Kelly and Co in the 2024 cycle.
For Pickett, LSU is moving the needle in his recruitment as the program retools its secondary.
