A chase through a residential area by Plaquemine Police during daylight hours has renewed a call from law enforcement for legislators to address tighter penalties for criminals who lead officers into aggravated flight. Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi and Plaquemine Police Chief Stephen Engolio both say it’s long overdue.
