PORT ALLEN, La. (BRPROUD) – Save Our Sons, a Port Allen non-profit, will host its Black History Month Parade at noon on Saturday, Feb. 17. Demtric Slaughter, the event organizer for SOS, said the group was organized to reach out to at-risk kids in the Port Allen area after a Black teenager was shot and killed in Baton Rouge. SOS tutors young boys and girls.
