Week 4 of the college football season features several exciting matchups, most of which are between conference rivals. These include the Utah Utes vs. the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Oklahoma Sooners vs. the Tennessee Volunteers.
However, an upcoming nonconference game between two renowned teams is expected to attract a lot of attention: the UCLA Bruins vs. the LSU Tigers. UCLA is considered the underdog, with LSU being the favorite to win by three scores. The Tigers currently have a 2-1 record and are coming off a significant victory on the road against South Carolina, during which they made an impressive comeback after trailing 17-0. Meanwhile, the Bruins suffered a blowout loss at home, 42-13, to the Indiana Hoosiers.
ESPN’s Paul Finebaum guaranteed an LSU win on his radio show.
“Guarantee,” Finebaum said. “It’s not even going to be close.”
The Bruins are ushering in a new era with their move to the Big Ten and the promotion of a new head coach after Chip Kelly’s departure to become the offensive coordinator for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Additionally, they lost their defensive coordinator to USC.
