Brian Kelly implores LSU fans to ‘use good judgment’ after field littered with debris during loss to Alabama

Officials stopped play in the third quarter of Alabama’s 42-13 win over LSU on Saturday night after the home crowd littered the Tiger Stadium field with debris to protest a pivotal personal-foul penalty assessed to LSU for a face-mask infraction committed against Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe. The penalty nullified a sack on third down and gave the Crimson Tide a first down. LSU coach Brian Kelly was critical of the fans’ behavior after the game, but admitted he understood why fans were frustrated.
