The LSU Tigers finished their regular season with a 37-17 win over the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday night at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.
With the win, the Tigers finished the regular season with an 8-4 record. The final record was a disappointment after LSU started the year ranked No. 13.
Following LSU’s win Saturday, head coach Brian Kelly praised his team for finishing November strong with wins over Vanderbilt and Oklahoma. The Tigers third-year head coach said his team was laying the groundwork for an eventual national title.
“We’re taking receipts and we’ll see about the national championship this team’s building,” Kelly said. “We’re excited about them and we’re really proud of them.”
On top of three straight losses between Oct. 26-Nov. 16, Kelly’s frustrations mounted toward the end of the season when the No. 1 recruit in the 2025 class, quarterback Bryce Underwood, announced he was flipping to Michigan on Nov. 21.
On Sunday, LSU had more troubling quarterback news.
Per Hayes Fawcett with On3 Sports, Tigers quarterback Rickie Collins is set to hit the transfer portal.
