Five companies that helped design and install a median on Interstate 12 that worsened catastrophic flooding in 2016 will pay more than $21 million to fix the barriers and fund flood-fighting efforts in the affected parts of East Baton Rouge and Livingston Parishes, thanks to a settlement approved this month.
