AFFIDAVIT: Man used Facebook Marketplace scheme to lure victims with PS5 then rob them

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A man is behind bars after deputies said he used a scheme on Facebook Marketplace to lure people to a home and then rob them at gunpoint.

According to an affidavit from the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, Willie Cousin, 20, was arrested on one count of armed robbery.

Jail records show on Jan. 6, 2025, detectives were dispatched to Halifax Drive in relation to an armed robbery.

While on the way to Halifax Drive, authorities learned that a young victim and his mother had relocated to Florida Boulevard for safety reasons…
