Arctic air is moving in, and snow comes next

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Winter weather is here! Arctic air is moving into the region and will cause highs to only reach the 40s this afternoon. Hard freeze conditions begin tonight as lows dip to the 20s.

We will be dealing with several hard freezes this week as temperatures fall to the teens and 20s in the morning. Highs will range from the low 30s to mid 40s.

Snow remains in the forecast on Tuesday with the likelihood of 3″-4″ in many locations, possible 4″-6″ from along and north of the I-10/I-12 corridor. Parishes near the coast could see anywhere from 1″ – 3″ of snow from this event.
