State Department of Transportation officials are on the highways in south Louisiana and the driving experience is very difficult. DOTD spokesperson Rodney Mallett says on some roadways, you can’t see the curb or edge the street or highway.
“It was precarious, to say the least. Just the amount of snow coming down made it hard to see out of the windshield, but to actually see a lane was not that easy,” Mallett said.
