Work release inmate walks off job site after getting terminated, deputies say

ST. JAMES PARISH, La. (WAFB) – Deputies said they are asking for the public’s help to locate a work release inmate who walked off a job site after getting terminated.

According to the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office, the inmate is Taegan Howarth, 22. Deputies said he was convicted of drug violations.

Howarth was last seen between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, March 7, authorities said. They added that he was spotted on the levee near Highway 44 in Convent and was wearing a yellow vest and white hard hat…
