Man charged in grandmother’s killing, mother’s stabbing accepts plea deal

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A man charged for the murder of his grandmother and stabbing of his mother accepted a plea deal in court on Monday, March 10.

The suspect, Aaron Morgan, pleaded guilty to seven charges stemming from an August 2021 crime spree where he stabbed his grandmother to death, stabbed his mom, and shot three other people.

Morgan’s charges include:

  • second-degree murder
  • attempted first-degree murder
  • attempted first-degree murder
  • attempted first-degree murder
  • attempted first-degree murder
  • attempted first-degree murder
  • armed robbery, use of firearm

After harming his relatives in August of 2021, Morgan allegedly stole a gun from their house, drove to a supermarket, and shot at three other people…
