BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Alleged serial killer Ryan Sharpe is currently serving a life sentence for the 2017 shooting death of Brad Defranceschi in East Feliciana Parish. Investigators say that after arresting Sharpe, he confessed to four shootings spanning from July 8, when Thomas Lee was murdered, through October.
One of the shootings was in East Baton Rouge Parish, where Carroll Breeden, a former BREC commissioner, was killed. Though he has already been convicted in another parish, East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore says Breeden’s family deserves their day in court.
“This family has been through hell over the last many years, with the different trial settings, covid, different judges, having been tried in another parish where you had the sanity issue raised,” Moore says. “So it’s a different trial, although a lot of the evidence is similar, but again it’s a completely different victim.”…
