Coroner requests help identifying man found dead in duplex backyard

BATON ROUGE — The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner is asking for the public’s help in identifying a Hispanic man found dead in a duplex backyard.

It was April 9, 2025, when the coroner’s office responded to the 1800 block of N. Harco Dr. to investigate the death of a man found dead. Despite fingerprinting, officials have not been able to identify the man.

“The decedent is a Hispanic male who, according to area residents possibly went by the name of “Carlos Rodriguez”. He was believed to be homeless and was known to sleep in a disabled vehicle in the area. He was last known to be alive at approximately 6:00 p.m. on the evening of April 8, 2025 and it was reported that he did not appear to be in any type of distress, nor did he voice any complaints of pain or discomfort,” said Dr. Beau Clark, EBR Coroner…
